Description
So you want to be a Lifeguard? The GIT program is a great way to get your foot in the door and embark on a fulfilling future at Marinwood. In this program, participants have a unique opportunity to become a junior staff member and have access to their own exclusive pool-side GIT “Shack.” Participants gain hands-on experience by helping teach in the Marinwood Swim Academy during morning lessons-donuts follow! When not working alongside the Marinwood pool staff, the GITs can be found learning and practicing lifeguarding skills, enjoying free swim time, barbecuing every Friday, and frequently creating fun chaos at the pool. In addition to all the fun and amusement, GITs also receive a thorough and exciting introduction to the American Red Cross Lifeguarding curriculum: a major headstart for anyone thinking about working as a lifeguard or swim instructor once 15 years old. Each week highlights different skills and features new activities, games, and themes so attending multiple sessions is highly encouraged!Ages: 13 - 14 (entering 8th- 9th grade)
Cancellation policy: All refund requests must be emailed to csd@marinwood.org. $15 cancellation fee. All refund requests must be received 6 business days (10 full days) in advance.
