There’s nothing quite like a mother’s love, and when it comes to ocean animals, marine mammal moms are some of the most loving moms in the underwater world. The relationship between mother and child is one of the most vital survival factors for marine mammals. By far, the strongest social bond created by manatees is the relationship between mother and baby. This week, we’re celebrating this special bond and learning about all the ways moms help calves learn, grow, and succeed in the big blue.
