Learn to code! In this camp, discover SCRATCH, a coding language designed for kids and learn how to use a computer keyboard. Scratch uses colorful programming blocks, quirky graphics, and fun sounds to drag and “snap” together blocks to make a character (sprite) walk, speak, play music, or interact with other sprites. With a rich library of built-in features create animated stories, interactive movies, games, and use the art block to create images, illustrations, and sculptures. Add in "Makey Makey" microcontroller that uses resistive sensing and turn everyday objects into keyboards, including random items like fruit, graphite, ice, modeling clay, and more! Learn fundamental coding concepts such as sequences, loops, conditionals, variables, and functions, AND how to use a computer keyboard!
