Teenagers, ages 16-17 and/or entering 11-12 grade, who wish apply to the Counselors in Training program are required to fill out this application, submit a resume and interview with the camp director. Priority is given to experienced Mountain Friends Campers and space is limited, but everyone is welcome to apply! Counselors in Training (CIT) should be least 16 and entering 11th grade in the fall, ask the director if you have questions or an unusual situation. CITs a lot more responsibility than you did as a camper, but there will always be an adult staff member on hand to offer advice and provide support. Counselors in Training will have special leadership training meetings during our staff training and will meet with an adult staff mentor before and during camp to talk about goals, challenges and your individual experience. You'll have fun, make friends, and have some free time, but remember a CIT is first and foremost a role model, helper and leader at camp.
