Capoeira with Marcelo De Oliveira Aquino
Capoeira is an Afro-Brazilian martial art that combines dance, acrobatics, music, and self-defense. In this class, students build strength, agility, balance, and coordination while exploring the playful and expressive movements of Capoeira. Through engaging games, music, and partner activities, children develop discipline, confidence, and teamwork in a supportive and fun environment.
Each class includes:
• Warm-up & Movement Games to build fitness and flexibility
• Capoeira Fundamentals like kicks, dodges, and transitions
• Partner Drills & Acrobatics that encourage creativity and strategy
• Music & Culture through learning rhythms, instruments, and songs in Portuguese
• Roda (Circle Practice) where students share their skills in a lively and interactive way
This class is designed for all levels, with movements and activities adapted for each child’s ability. Students not only learn a unique martial art but also gain cultural appreciation, musicality, and a safe space for self-expression.
This class has a $25 material fee which must be paid directly to Marcelo De Oliveira Aquino by the second-class meeting.
This class is only for students currently enrolled at this school.
