About This Activity
This class primarily focuses on but is not limited to observational drawing activities. Classes will include, Drawing three dimensional objects, conveying space and place in a drawing, drawing with color ,beginning perspective, drawing the face and self portrait, and drawing people. Other topics to be explored via drawing and water color are Still life with flowers, and Still life with objects, as well as drawing with value (tonal range) ,and drawing cast shadows of objects with direct lighting. Abstraction will be discussed and explored and making comics and cartoons, and mixed media/collage. Art History will be presented as well with accompanying books or images. The priorities of this class are threefold, in the following order – Safety, Fun, and learning new skills as drawers and augmenting previous visual art skills the students bring to the class.
