About This Activity

Nine adventurous 10-13 year olds and staff will meet on opening day of this program to begin an epic adventure. As parents wave to their campers climbing aboard the boat they may wish they could hop on board as well, and may wonder what extraordinary tales their camper will have to share two days later. We’ll give you a hint. After getting to know their fellow treasure hunters and making new friends, and working as a team while making the crossing to a small secluded island not-too-far from Seattle, hiking 1 mile, building a beach-side campsite, eating homemade camp pizzas, making a campfire and eating S’mores, figuring out clues, riddles, opening Japanese puzzle boxes, hunting for and digging up treasure, eating more yummy food and sleeping under the stars, then climbing back aboard the boat for a final journey home, parents may be surprised that campers are just too exhausted to tell any stories at the moment. We suggest feeding them, letting them sleep for 12-36 hours, and only then start to gently attempt to pry any information from their brains. Our last tip – getting one of our photo books, which tells the story through photo documentation by staff, will also greatly help with the prying. Our Goals, beyond having ridiculous amounts of fun with newly made friends, are to help develop social and self confidence while providing an exciting, challenging and unforgettable adventure experience.
