Price is divided in 9 1-month payments of $55 each. In our Technology Club students will explore four technology units during the 32 weeks of classes. In each unit students will use the Engineering Design Process to design and create different engineering projects. Units: Scratch Computer Programming, LEGO Robotics, Animation, Mechatronics NASA. What’s more fun that playing an interactive video game? Writing one! Video sensing allows students to design and program their own video games and then test them by interacting with the program via webcam. In this Scratch program, students work together to create their own games, art, and musical instruments while exploring coding foundations. Get up and get moving with Engineering for Kids and Scratch: Video Sensing! This class is a perfect mixture of fun and learning, using LEGO® WeDo™ Robots. Using LEGO® bricks, students build a Ferris wheel, crane, music box, and more. They also learn how to program and operate their creations using a laptop computer. Mechatronic Masterminds NASA uses littleBits to bring fun and powerful ways to explore Earth + Space science. Designed in collaboration with NASA scientists and engineers, student will learn scientific principles like electromagnetic, kinetic, and potential energy while engaged in activities such as making a Mars Rover or an ISS, transmitting music wirelessly, and more! Children are fascinated by cartoon animation and this class will walk them through the basics of animation. Beginning with a simple flip book and progressing though multiplane and stop motion animation students will design and create simple animations individually and as a class.
