The purpose of Parent and Child Aquatics is to teach safe behaviors around the water for infants and toddler ages 6 months to 3 years old and develop swimming readiness by leading parents and their children in water exploration activities with the objective of having fun and becoming comfortable in, on and around the water.
*Parent or guardian required in water with child during lessons.* If a participant is receiving scholarship dollars and fails to attend at least 50% of the classes without notifying Aquatics Staff, the participant will not be eligible for future scholarship funding. * In the event of inclement weather such as thunder and lightning, swim lessons will be cancelled. If it is raining hard and visibility in the bottom of the pool is obstructed, swim lessons will be cancelled. The City does not offer makeup lessons or refunds for programs cancelled due to weather events.
