Class Description: Artists use numerous tools, tricks, and methods to help them draw realistically. Discover these secrets and more Practice making subjects look three dimensional with a sense of depth, perspective, and realistic texture. This camp will teach budding artists how the professionals use viewfinders, tone charts, different grades of graphite, thumbnail sketches, layers of tracing paper, different shading techniques, even mathematics to build a piece of artwork from the first few lines to a completed drawing or painting. Class will culminate in working through levels of sketches to create a painting. Teacher: Joanna Webster has been co-leading a girl scout troop for 3.5 years including overnight trips to the zoo and aquarium, and three day weekend camps at Keystone. As a mother, she has a passion teaching kids. One of her biggest victories leading the girl scouts came from teaching the Draw Like a Pro class. She brings this experience and enthusiasm to her creativity camp.
