Class Description: The Princess Tea Party dance class will choreograph a dance to include creative movement incorporating basic ballet skills. There will also be song, dance, and imaginative improvisation. The dancers will make a princess craft each day and design ball gowns for a tea party. Leotards, tights, and ballet shoes are requested. Teacher: Karin Comeau’s passion for teaching dance has persevered in the Yampa Valley for two generations. She has a B.A in Dance from Colorado State University where she attended with a full ride scholarship for Creative and Performing Arts. The Director of Rocky Mountain Dance, she also dances and choreographs for Steamboat Springs Dance Theatre and has provided Summer Dance Education at Perry/Mansfield for 20 years. What to Wear: Comfortable fitting clothes are appropriate for this camp. A small bag is also a great idea for an extra change of clothes, water bottle and a snack. Snacks: Parents please send children to camp with a dry snack and water. Snacks and beverages will be consumed during “snack-time.” Children staying the full day will also need to bring a healthy sack lunch to consume during the lunch break.
