The event at Denverton will take place on January 6-7th Hunts are filled on a first come-first serve basis. Hunters are limited to register for only one date during the 16-17 waterfowl season. How much does the hunt cost? $150 per hunter. The registration fee includes a CWA membership, overnight accommodations, dinner, breakfast, and lunch. Do I need a hunting license? Yes, all hunters need a valid 2016-2017 California hunting license, HIP stamp, CA duck stamp, and federal duck stamp. How do I signup? Click the register tab to signup. Who can attend? Any female hunter who holds a valid hunting license who is 18 years old or older. What is included? One night stay at Grizzly Ranch or Denverton, dinner, breakfast, lunch, decoys, blinds, boats, and game cleaning facility. Guides are provided at each blind. The volunteer/mentor guide will help with blind safety, waterfowl identification, decoy placement, bird retrieval, calling, etc. Can I bring my hunting dog? Yes, but all dogs must be kept in a dog crate or vehicle when you are not hunting. You will be responsible for the behavior and actions of your dog, as well providing adequate food and water. Where does the hunt take place? All of the waterfowl hunting takes place at Grizzly Ranch or Denverton. Denverton: located in the famed Susiun Marsh. The property is 762 acres located off Highway 12 and managed by CWA biologists. The blinds consist of three floating blinds and one stand-up blind. Decoys and stools are provided. Hunters walk to the blinds from designated parking areas. Where does everyone sleep? Denverton: There are seven rooms furnished with one twin bed and one bunk bed.
