About This Activity
Description
The traditional high school geometry curriculum centers around rote memorization of proofs and formulas, lacking opportunities for students to truly understand the connections among logical thinking, geometric reasoning, and various other key concepts. Logical Geometrics will lead students beyond the traditional high school curriculum by combining logical thinking with geometric problem-solving that draws on reasoning, inference, and critical thinking. As students learn to reason and become more proficient in the rhetoric of mathematics, they will develop a more nuanced understanding of mathematical structures and gain vast insight into diverse problem-solving strategies that will be useful throughout their academic pursuits.
