Advisor: Neo Robotics Email: neo@neoxrobotics.com In this course, students learn to read and write robot programs and control robots using Python scripts. The curriculum builds a strong foundation in both Python and robotics fundamentals. Key areas include: Python Basics – Introduction to variables, expressions, input/output, and programming in a browser-based environment. Robot Components – Overview of motors, gears, axles, sensors, and cameras, using LEGO bricks or standard LEGO kits. Programming Concepts – Students explore modularity, loops, and subroutines to write more complex programs and simple games. Robot Building – Hands-on experience building a robot, adding motion and sensors, and programming it using Python. Project Application – Students apply their skills to build robots that perform tasks, offering a solid foundation for FLL and other robotics challenges. Required Materials: Grades 4 & 5 participants are required to bring their own tablet, chrome book or any laptop with internet connectivity. Vendor will provide devices for grades 2-3 participants.
