About This Activity

Times vary: Friday 6-8pm, Saturday 10am-4pm and Sunday 10am-4pm. This class will explore the very basics of metal clay with the incredibly humorous and tallented Christopher Beaver. No previous experience or skills necessary. Have you ever wanted to work with metal but have been scared off by the metal smithing process? Here is your chance to explore the world of precious metal clay – a fantastic clay material that is permeated with microscopic elements of pure metals. The clay is formed and placed in a kiln and – viola! – you pull out a pure piece of solid silver. Required for this this class is a great sense of humor, a willingness to learn, the ability to laugh at your own mistakes and letting your teacher drop the "f bomb" on occasion (it happens). IMPORTANT: This class will be held at a private home studio in Placerville, CO (not at the Ah Haa School).
