Join Women International Master Lyudmyla Mokryak for Advanced Chess Camp during Summer Blast at Topeka Collegiate! While prior experience in scholastic chess tournaments is highly encouraged, it's not required—what matters most is a strong enthusiasm to learn and a willingness to participate in tournaments this fall! Each day will begin with a set of chess puzzles tailored to various skill levels. We'll spotlight a legendary chess player daily—like Fischer, Nakamura, Carlsen, and more—to inspire our strategic thinking. Our focus will be on mastering the middle game and endgame, using some of the best examples from my all-time favorite chess books. Campers will also play practice games followed by group analysis to deepen their understanding. We'll wrap up each day with a bit of fun, exploring creative chess variants that keep things fresh and exciting.
