THIS PROGRAM IS FOR GIRLS AND NON-BINARY STUDENTS. Esc+Explore invites students in grades 3–4 to begin their journey into the world of coding through playful, hands-on exploration. Blending creativity with technology, students will use beginner-friendly coding tools to experiment software controlled technologies, allowing them to discover how their instructions can shape the world around them. This course is designed to make coding feel magical and approachable, encouraging curiosity while building problem-solving and logical thinking skills. By combining imagination with coding, Esc+Explore sparks excitement for STEM and lays the foundation for more advanced coding pathways in later grades. This program does not require previous experience with coding. Students will be using Scratch for block-based coding and Code Kit for programming Arduino with block-based code.
