About This Activity

Advances in our understanding of magnetic materials are changing the information and sensing technologies we use every day by making them smaller and more power efficient. What makes these materials different? And how are engineers using these properties to advance technology? In this course, students will explore topics such as electromagnetism, magnetic materials, magnetic domains, micromagnetic simulations, and more! Participants will also learn how magnetic materials are used for applications such as data storage and sensing.
