About This Activity

Over the past 40 years, Biomedical Engineering as a discipline has grown with incredible speed. Technology and innovation are increasingly used and implemented to manage and optimize health care delivery. Clinical engineers work in multidisciplinary environments with clinicians, patients, and scientists to produce innovation that will bridge the gap between patient and provider. Ultimately, the future of clinical engineering is working towards a health care system that is designed with a focus on the patient. Students will work through an intensive course introducing them to the basics of Clinical Engineering, and they will learn how they can pursue careers within research and entrepreneurship.
