About This Activity

Computer vision includes everything from recognizing objects to analyzing a scene, and from 3D geometry and reconstruction to motion analysis and tracking. It is the foundation for hundreds of advanced technologies that surround us every day. In this students will explore applications of machine vision and the challenges that engineers face in design and problem solving. Students will be introduced to the field of machine and computer vision, including camera models, image formats and techniques for generating and analyzing 2D and 3D data. Students will construct a tracking system, and experiment with its performance using real-world scenes.
