The ACT Prep Class at Loyola Blakefield is an intensive 4 –day class designed to familiarize students with the ACT college entrance exam. Curriculum, test strategies and practice of ACT test problems will be the focus of the course. The class covers two days of English, one day of math, and one day of science. The course will run the Monday – Thursday before each exam from 1 – 3:30 pm. The English class will be taught by Loyola English teacher Mr. Ed Brown. The math will be taught by Mr. Jose Albornoz and the science portion will be taught by Mrs. Rosa Pongchit of Loyola’s Science department. The class is open to all high school students Class size is limited to twenty- five students per session. The math portion of the SAT Prep Class is taught by Mr. Jose Albornoz. Mr. Albornoz has been a mathematics teacher at Loyola Blakefield for the past thirty years. He has taught all levels of mathematics from 7th grade pre-algebra through Advanced Placement Calculus. 2015 -2016 will be his 31st year at Blakefield and his 7th teaching the SAT Prep Class.
