Birding at Cienega Creek

Observe the rich bird life in the diverse habitats of Cienega Creek Natural Preserve on a guided walk with naturalist Jeff Babson. All ages welcome.

Cienega Creek Natural Preserve at Gabe Zimmerman Davidson Canyon Trailhead, 16000 E. Marsh Station Road
From I-10 take exit 281- Sonoita/Patagonia to Marsh Station Road. Travel northeast on Marsh Station Road approximately 3 miles and watch for the Gabe Zimmerman Davidson Canyon Trailhead sign on the right. If you get to the large colorful Cienega Creek sign on the left side of the road, you have gone too far. Turn around and go back down the road to the trailhead parking area. There are restrooms but no water is available at this trailhead. Group meets at the ramada in the parking lot. Sections of the trail are steep and rocky. Please carry water and wear sturdy hiking shoes.
