YOU must be currently employed by Pima County or the YMCA of Southern Arizona to take this Pima County Lifeguard review class.
American Red Cross Lifeguard Training Classes will be offered by Pima County. There is a pre-requisite swim of at least 300 yards continuously (using breaststroke and freestyle), treading water for 2 minutes without the use of arms, and a 10 pound brick retrieval so please be prepared. There will be a 30 minute lunch break, so bring a sack lunch. The fee is non-refundable, but may be transferable to a later review class. Class sizes are limited and are filled on a first-come basis. In the event that the pool is closed due to weather or any other unforseeable circumstance, the class may need to be extended to meet all objectives at the discretion of the lead lifeguard instructor. BOTH CLASS DAYS ARE MANDATORY. NO MAKE UP SESSIONS. NO REFUNDS.
