About This Activity

CAMP DETAILS

If you are looking for a way to improve your child’s athletic performance over the summer but are unable to commit to our 10-week Speed School then this camp is the next best thing. This program offers the aspiring athlete the type of individualized attention generally reserved for university level athletes. All participants will be introduced to techniques that will improve their speed, agility, and quickness. Specifically we teach the biomechanics of proper posture, sprinting, cutting, lateral movement, jumping, and strength training drills. This camp will not only give your child a great workout but we will actually teach the kids how their body works and how to correct their own technique when the camp is over. During the course of the week the kids will have loads of fun using speed ladders, hurdles, and medicine balls. Each and every athlete will leave with an exciting new approach to bettering his or her athletic ability. HERE ARE JUST A FEW EXAMPLES OF THE TECHNIQUE WORK YOU WILL DO AT OUR SESSIONS: • Learn how to make explosive directional changes like an NFL wide receiver • Learn how to jump like an NBA point guard • Learn how to sprint like an Olympic 100m track star • Learn efficient running technique like that of a professional soccer player • Learn what it means to eat for performance • Learn why most workouts fail to develop athleticism and how to identify a knowledgeable coach • Learn the 3 keys to making coaches remember you during tryouts • Learn why most fitness programs make you soft and slow • Learn how to cut your recovery time in half after a workout • Learn how to develop and maintain elite level flexibility for a lifetime • Learn how to manage injuries from the moment they occur all the way to long-term prevention strategies
