A Late Start exploration in creating improvisational drama. Each session begins with a story... then kids are invited to use their imaginations to create props and characterizations through movement, voice and problem solving. Students will learn to understand characters, identify plot, improvise, perform and evaluate what worked well and what should be replayed. Each class ends with a sense of accomplishment as kids work together to bring the story to life. Stories include: Horton Hatches the Egg, Caps For Sale, Where the Wild Things Are, Strega Nona, Little Engine that Could. Sue Wiley has written, directed and produced plays for kids for over 20 years. Snacks provided. Open to homeschoolers too.
Chautauqua bus will pick the kids up from VCA to take them to school at 11:30 am.
