About This Activity
Description
Structure: The purpose of this new program is to introduce youth in 1st-2nd grade to the basics of the sport. They will be introduced to the sport with fundamentals, drills, and basic cheers led by volunteer coaches. There will be one cheerleading group for 1st-2nd grade, and one group for 3rd-4th grade. Each group will be limited to 12 cheerleaders, and registration is first-come, first-served. This registration is for the 1st-2nd grade group only.Coaches Meeting: Week of July 28th
Schedule: Cheer groups will practice once a week from August 4th - 25th. Then there will be one practice and one game from September 1st - Late October. Cheer groups will cheer at our NFL Flag Football games!
Practice/Game Times: Parents will be called before the first week of August to be told practice days/times. NFL Flag Football Games will be played on Tuesdays & Thursdays, and the cheer team's game schedule will be communicated to parents before the second week of August.
Equipment Provided: All cheerleaders will receive a pair of pom poms, t-shirt, and bow.
Location: Games and practices will take place at the West Park Baseball Fields.
