Activity stations reveal the life and work of an 1890s farm family and teach students about the products farmers provide. Depending on the season, your group may experience what it?s like to raise food in the kitchen garden, harvest crops, stack bales of straw and hay, use tools, or watch blacksmiths, beekeepers and draft horses at work. To register by phone instead, call (630) 876-5900.

The Forest Preserve District recommends one chaperone per 10 students. Everyone should dress for the weather and bring water. (Bring sunscreen and bug spray, too, if needed.) Trails are asphalt or crushed limestone, but waterproof shoes are recommended on muddy days. If weather's severe, the Forest Preserve District may need to cancel your program.
