The TKA Aquatics Summer Camp is for children who already know how to swim and are comfortable in the water. In order to participate in the camp each child must be able to complete at least one length (25 yards) of the pool without assistance. The purpose of the TKA Aquatics Camp is to help improve each campers swim stroke, fitness level and love for swimming. Each morning will start with an 80 minute swim practice. During practice each child will learn the various drills and techniques used by competitive swimmers to help improve their stroke and kick. Each day our campers will participate in 45 minutes of dry-land training to help strengthen their core muscles that allow for stability and strength in the water. After lunch we will have 45 minutes of playtime where we will play games such as kickball, dodge ball and basketball. We will conclude each camp session with 80 more minutes in the pool to review what was learned in the morning session and play pool games. A T-shirt and lunch are provided.
