Enjoy fall reflections on the West Branch during a guided paddle from downtown Winfield to Warrenville Grove. (Paddlers must arrange for their own rides back to the launch site.) Bring your own canoe or kayak to this free program or rent one for $20 per person. Ages 6 and up; under 18 with an adult. To register by phone instead, call (630) 933-7248.

Meet at Lions Park in Winfield on Beecher Avenue. Bring water, sunscreen, bug spray, and an extra pair of shoes and a towel in case you get wet.

The trip will end downstream at Warrenville Grove Forest Preserve. You will need to arrange to have your car at Warrenville Grove at 5 p.m. or to have someone pick you up (with your kayak or canoe if you bring your own).

Rented kayaks have a 300-pound capacity. Private watercraft must have one well-fitting Coast Guard-approved personal flotation device for each passenger and either an Illinois water usage stamp or state registration.
