Ever wanted to learn about stop motion? Or go to a class where you build stuff with Legos? Come join our stop motion class and do both! Students will be exploring the stop motion medium learning the concepts that make stop motion possible and how to use their creativity to make short films. The goal for this class is to focus on the fundamentals of animation: timing and spacing. For stop motion, it is very important students understand these basic concepts. Students will do exercises practicing before applying what they learn to a short film. Examples include making an item travel at a specific speed, converting timed sessions into frames, and changing an objects speed. Depending on class performance students will have the opportunity to work on a larger group project with aid from the instructor! Enroll in a single session for 5 weeks, or the full semester for 11 weeks! Class dates Part I (4 weeks): 10/09, 10/16, 10/23, 10/30 Part II (6 weeks): 11/06, 11/13, 11/20, 12/04, 12/11, 12/18 Full Semester (10 weeks): all the above dates *Please note that there will be no class on 11/27 for Thanksgiving Break.
