Let's get moving! After attending the NAEYC (National Association for Education of Young Children) conference this year, Mrs. Konen is excited to bring this knowledge to Collegiate. Pivot to Play is a program that helps develop the relationship between a child's social, emotional, behavioral, and cognitive success through physical big body play. In this course, students will be engaged in various physical games and activities to enhance their vestibular development, proprioceptive development, and core strength. Reasearch shows increasing ability in these areas is vital for self-regulation, self-control, and their ability to learn academic information. Students will become aerobic while increasing auditory and spatial awareness, crossing their midline, and building numerous strengths without even realizing it in a fun way. Come engage and play!
