Whether you are new to theatre or a veteran performer, this class has something to challenge and inspire each child. Theatre games, improvisational exercises and literature-based character study will be the focus of this class. Students will begin to offer their own stories, and offer favorites they’ve read, to use as source material to study character and plot. Through movement and voice training, students will gain confidence and control. This class will focus more on the development of the child as a dramatic artist as opposed to the focus on production. They will begin to form concrete life skills that will benefit them for years to come. The last day of class includes an informal showcase for family and friends.
