This is a beginning sewing class for students who have not sewn or want to refresh any sewing skills. Students will learn how to thread a machine and bobbin, how to stitch, cut out patterns and begin with simple sewing projects such as creative tote bags, aprons, fun pillows and stuffed animals. Students will be introduced to pressing raw edges and sewing them, backtacking, making casings for elastics, attaching appliques and more as the class progresses. Students will sew at their own pace after basics are learned. This is a great beginning foundation designed to cover sewing basics and gain confidence to continue on to other sewing classes. Students will have a fun time completing projects on their own.
A $15 material fee is payable to the instructor at the first class meeting.
