About This Activity
This 7-week After-School Sailing program is for 8-11 year olds who are brand new to sailing. Join us for Wednesday Discover Sailing—a perfect adventure for beginners and those eager to gain more water experience! This exciting after-school camp offers a hands-on introduction to sailing, where participants dive into the essentials of rigging, launching, and maneuvering small boats. With a focus on fun and safety, kids will make new friends while enjoying a mix of engaging activities and games on and off the water. Our program is designed to not only spark a passion for sailing but also build confidence and enthusiasm that extends beyond the docks. Come set sail with us and watch your child grow into a confident sailor and a more self-assured individual! This class primarily uses Sail Cube sailboats. Schedule: 3:30 Rigging 3:45 Chalk Talk & Snack Time 4:00 Gear Up 4:15 Go Sailing! 5:15 Land 5:30 Clean Up 6:00 Change into dry clothes 6:15 Debrief ACSC provides instruction, Instructors with US Sailing Level 1 certification, safety boats, sailboats, wet suits, and life vests. Please bring your own water shoes, cold weather layers, sunscreen, water, and snack.
