FIRST is a not-for-profit organization that encourages kids to explore science and technology through collaboration with mentors and teammates. In the spirit of FIRST’s mission and values, our programs focus on building self-confidence and STEM skills by providing kids with an inclusive and respectful environment. FIRST LEGO League: Explore is designed for students in 2nd-4th grade. This program will be offered continually through the 2021-2022 season, beginning in mid-October and concluding in early April. Each segment will build upon the prior knowledge of the students in that class. Student teams will investigate real-world challenges and learn about how scientists are tackling them. After exploring the many ways science can be used to solve these problems, students build and program a motorized LEGO model using the LEGO WeDo 2.0 to present their findings. This year's theme asks students to reimagine our global transportation system and the transporting, sorting, and delivering of cargo across the world!
