Description
Rec & Ed is committed to providing safe and inclusive recreational sports opportunities to all youth, regardless of race/ethnicity, socioeconomic status, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, or gender expression. Youth may register using a variety of gender terms, including “non-binary,” and are welcome to select whichever sports and leagues they prefer.With the soccer league changes, from "Girls" and "Boys" to "Girls-Open" and "Boys-Open," we aimed to retain some gender specificity while being open to all, on any team. The emphasis of this program is on participation and enjoyment. EVERYONE GETS TO PLAY! There are no "cuts" or "try-outs". Participants are assigned to teams based on their grade and public school attendance area. (Charter/Parochial/Non District/Private school teams may be formed provided they meet the grade requirements, minimum number of players and registration deadline.) Rosters are strictly limited to 10 players per team and teams play five aside. Practices start the week of August 26th and games September 7th and 8th. The season will run for six weeks. Games are held on Saturdays or Sundays and will be scheduled between the hours of 9:00am and 6:00pm depending on the league. Each team is assigned one practice a week. Practices are held at local parks and elementary schools between the hours of 4:00pm and 7:00pm Monday - Friday. We will not have a late registration period.

Registration is available until 5:00pm on July 22, 2024. On-line registration is available to registrants who have a current on-line account and will be paying by credit card or credit on account. On-line registration cannot accept payment by gift certificates, scholarships or any other form of discounts.
