Grades K-5. Join us on this exciting detective adventure! Your Junior CSI Investigator uncovers the science of forensics by exploring evidence collection, blood typing analysis, observation techniques, fingerprinting, UV light and much more. Classes include Discover Detection, Crime Lab, Sleuths on the Scene, Whodunit?, Jr. Detectives and Funky Forensics. Instructor: Mad Science staff. 6 weeks.

Topics covered:
Discover Detection
Step into the shoes of a detective and uncover the science involved in evidence gathering and analysis. Students create, collect and analyze evidence and discover what skills are necessary as a crime scene lab technician. They use a Fingerprint Finder to place and identify UV prints.
Crime Lab
Analyze clues and get hot on the trail of a culprit with the Crime Lab program. With the Spynoculars take home, students safely observe clues from afar. The build-your-own binoculars help students develop observational skills.
Sleuths on the Scene
Suspects, schematics and sleuths...oh my! Connect the dots using science to help solve a crime in this hands-on investigation in the Sleuths on the Scene Lab. Students continue their sleuthing using their Scene Solver take home to reconstruct the scene of a crime with family and friends.
Want to know who did it? Test your skills and learn how the pros do it through careful observation and techniques to handle evidence properly. Using their Whodunit Kit take home, students can practice the skills of recall and observation--they are provided with character descriptions to reconstruct the face of the suspect!
Jr. Detectives
Are detectives really scientists in disguise? Discover what it takes to be a detective in this hands-on look at detective science! Using powers of observation and the InspectiKit, young scientists have all they need to get started on a detective adventure.
Funky Forensics
Figure out the science of forensics in this hands-on look at crime scenes! Evidence collection and puzzle making lead students to understand why forensic scientists like to understand the complete picture. Students use their Case Stamper take home to probe the science of tracking.

No class 10/26.
