Rising 1st -3rd graders will learn what makes a species endangered, what our community is doing to help save endangered species and decide what animal we’d like to adopt. Campers will enjoy trips to the National Zoo and to Roer’s Zoofari, and presentations and activities from, Reptiles Alive and painting Andy Warhol art with DTES’s art teacher, Mrs. Heather Johnson. Camp runs 9am-4pm. Before-care is offered from 7:30am-9am for an additional $20 for the week, and after-care is available from 4pm-6:30pm for an additional $30 for the week (rates increase the week prior to the camp week to a daily fee, if not reserved ahead of time and will be based on space availability). We offer a 10% sibling discount off the second and third lower camp fee; all children MUST be enrolled at the same time in the same transaction, no exceptions. Camps are expected to fill quickly and we offer a wait-list for those interested; if a spot opens, we will contact you. Registrations are accepted on a first-come basis and enrollment is not complete until payment is received. * Please note that field trips are subject to change.
