This program is for children 5-18 years who want to prepare to join a swim team and/or just work on stroke technique and endurance. The group is divided into two areas based on swimming ability. This program focuses on turns, endurance, and stroke refinement using drills and work out sets. You will also learn how to use a pace clock. For beginners, participants must be able to swim at least 15 yards on front and back without the use of floats and have an understanding of rotary breathing. For intermediate to advance, participants must have a knowledge of all four competition strokes (freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly) and be able to swim 25-50 yards of each without stopping.
