In this social skills workshop for neurodivergent children, students use drama, pretend play, and roleplaying to build skills that help them become better social thinkers, including friendly greetings, self-calming strategies, flexible thinking, exploring feelings of shyness, fair play, compassion, empathy, and collaborative play.
Note: Teachers are trained in theater education and SEL, but they are not therapists. Students should be able to participate safely and communicate with instructors without the help of a parent/aide. This class has 10 students max with 2 teachers.
