BEGINNER classes are designed for students who have never played tennis or those looking for a refresher. You'll learn (including but now limited to) warm-up exercises, how to properly grip a racquet; basic stroke techniques for forehands, backhands, volleys, serves and overheads and tennis vocabulary. Being that tennis is a running game you will also be learning footwork and how to move properly on the court. Even in this BEGINNER class come expecting to get a great workout... INTERMEDIATE classes are for players at the 3.0-4.0 skill level of the USTA National Tennis Rating System. You will learn how to improve all parts of your game while developing serves, ground strokes and volleys into weapons. Match play along with drills will be a major part of the classes. Coach Abdul will include tennis-specific stretching, footwork drills and agility drills into the classes.
