The course is focused on providing individuals with the opportunity to learn to row and to develop their confidence on the water in a safe, fun and engaging environment. The course is aimed at beginners, however rowers with limited experience are also welcome. During the course, rowers will get to experience a range of boat types, from single sculls up to quads (four rowers), allowing them to develop their individual skills and also teaching the importance of teamwork. The days will be made up of three sessions per day with a mix of on water sessions and land based activities. The course will be led by qualified rowing coaches and members of the Bryanston Sports Department. All participants must be competent swimmers and be able to swim two lengths of our indoor 25m pool in light clothing. A capsize drill will be carried out on the first day. Only after successful completion will participants be permitted on the river.
