Weather Works: Fall brings a variety of weather that affects not only the environment but its inhabitants as well. We will investigate floods, hail/ice storms, and blizzards, while looking at how animals adapt to those severe environments. Trees/Bark Rubbings: Speaking of the changing weather, how do our many different trees adapt to the cold temperatures and ever changing elements - let’s explore the outdoors to discover the answer. KEVA ZOO Construction: Let’s imagine a zoo that is able to ethically house and maintain a variety of animals in the current environment and weather, what would it look like? Each student will receive a toy animal and their design challenge is to think about what their animal needs to not only survive, but thrive and then build that habitat with KEVA Planks.
