About This Activity
This course is designed for people who are looking to continue their introductory discovery of American Sign Language. Nancy will cover the second half of the book "A Basic Course in American Sign Language" by Tom Humphries, Carol Padden, and Terrence J. O'Rourke, the 2nd edition. While ASL I through Community Education is NOT a prerequisite to this class, we recommend calling the office to discuss your preparedness if you have taken previous ASL or are self-taught. Additionally, you may also purchase the textbook prior to class to practice any parts of the first half that you may need to work on to ready for when this class begins. The instructor will cover a quick review of the first half the textbook on the first day of class. Please purchase the aforementioned book and bring it with you to the first day of class.
