10 Sessions - October 6, 13, 20, 27, November 3, 10, 17, 24, December 1, 8 Yin Yoga is a passive form of stretching encompassing long holds, all on the floor, which help stretch and release the fascia (connective tissue). This strengthens and supports joints and bones and is a great complement to “yang” activities like strength training or a busy lifestyle. This slow, internal & meditative yoga allows students to surrender and achieve stillness promoting a union of body and mind. All levels, body types and capabilities are supported by the instructor who offers modifications to customize the practice for each students’ needs. Props are encouraged, but not essential. There is a focus on poses, breathing and meditation that help heal the subtle and energetic body and calm the mind and spirit. Instructor: Janine Intervallo.
