DATES: Nov 6, 13, 20, Dec 4 (Skip Nov 27) Instructor: Madison Berg In this class, students will continue exploring the basics of Machine Knitting on their own individual Brother 864 standard gauge knitting machine. Students will learn the basics of drafting for knitting and garment shaping, different cast on processes, how to get a finished edge, how to increase and decrease, and garment finishing techniques. Students will walk away with a Machine Knitted garment based on their vision. Previous projects include sweaters, tank-tops and more! Pre-requisites: Machine Knitting 101 or equivalent experience -- Our classes are designed to focus on a learned skill rather than a final product. At TAC, our mission is to provide skills and knowledge for a lifetime! All materials for sample making and learning the technique are included. Any additional materials will need to be supplied by the student based on their vision. 4-week students have access to Open Studio time for free during the month of class and for up to a week after the class to put their new knowledge to practice.
