About This Activity
INSTRUCTOR: TAC STAFF In this 12 week course students will rotate through a few textile techniques including printing & dyeing, sewing, and weaving. With printing & dyeing students will use colorful synthetic and natural dye and printing processes, creating projects with fabric of their own design. With sewing students will practice hand sewing, machine sewing, and mixed media textile techniques to create 2D and 3D pieces. With weaving students will explore a wide range of techniques and materials to create their own woven pieces. Other techniques like marbling, felting, silk painting may also be incorporated in the course depending on project needs.
