Do you have a budding young chef in your household who could benefit from some guided professional instruction? Cooking classes are taught by our amazing instructor Isylla who will show our participants fundamental cooking techniques-such as sauteing, roasting, and braising as well as explain kitchen terms and focus on food safety using demonstrations as well as hands-on activities with recipes inspired from countries around the world! This is a great way to nurture an interest in the culinary arts while teaching valuable skills that will last a lifetime. Classes run Tuesdays:April 12 - June 14. Cost is $160.00. Students signed up will be picked up after school and walked to the kitchen - parents are to pick up on time - unless enrolled in the After School Program as then they will be walked to the program room for further supervision. Please provide an apron for your child on the first day of class. At the end of session your child will come home with a binder full of all the recipes learned in class to try at home. If your child is not enrolled in the after school program and you are late for pick up - your child will be in the library and a fee will be charged - due upon pick up.
