About This Activity
At 3:00pm, registered students meet, divided into three groups (Preschool, K-1, 2-8) and reside in separate classrooms, on the different floors. Once the regular school day is over, preschool students are brought to one of the preschool classrooms (Igel Group), where they start the afternoon with their routine of settling down and having a snack. The rest of the students move into their aftercare rooms or proceed to their extracurricular activities on their designated floor. All students have a snack at first. When indoors, the after school team supervises a range of activities such as story time, games, crafts, reading or free play. Weather permitting, during fall and spring, students spend as much time as possible outdoors on the playground. By 4:30pm at the latest, students are ready for pick-up.
