Give your 6 to 8-year-old home school students hands-on, immersive experiences in nature and science. Activities focus on increasing content knowledge and fostering excitement about the natural world. Classes are held once a month. Sign up for each season (3 classes) in which you have interest. Fall Topics: River Ecology, Meadow Ecology, Forest Ecology. Winter Topics: Stars & Constellations, Fossils & Dinosaurs, Tracking Animals. Spring Topics: Ornithology (Birds), Herpetology (Reptiles & Amphibians), Entomology (Insects). Info: 410-313-0400.
You are registering for the 1st Thursday 6-8 year old session of the Winter 2019-2020 home school classes. This class meets on the following dates: Dec 5, 2019, Jan 2, and Feb 6, 2020. Please note, Fall and Spring home school sessions require a separate registration.
Parents may attend classes with their child(ren) at no cost.
Siblings younger than 4 years old are welcome, but must be accompanied by a parent at all times.
All participants must complete a participant form, which will be emailed out prior to each season. Please ensure you check the email address associated with your Howard County Recreation & Parks account for this information.
